Prayer for and of the members of New Life: Loving God, be with us and guide us during this time of discernment. Fill our leaders, especially the Call Committee, with your wisdom. Lead us and guide us O Lord to be about the work of your kingdom even as the search for a new pastor continues. Bless all who have taken on extra responsibility and fill them with a sense of your love and presence. Guide those who are discerning their calls in ministry and put a “fire in their bellies” that one may be led to New Life. We pray in your Son’s name Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Note that communion is done just a bit differently, in that the Host as well as the Cup is to be consumed “at the table,” upon receiving it from the pastor and the communion assistant. The empty cup will then be placed in either basket (at the front pew), depending on which aisle you use to get back to your seat. Thank you for your participation!
2024 Nominating Committee: We in need of 4-5 volunteers to be part of the Nominating Committee for this year. If you would be interested, please see Rich or Mary Gillies, Thank you
Coffee Hour Hosts : Please know that we have cookies in our church freezer that you can use for Coffee Hour. Hosts do not always need to make ‘n bake! Your Worship Committee also accepts monetary donations to purchase cookies to replenish what is in the freezer. Talk to Lila Will about this option.
Let’s take turns! Please sign up for a week of ushering, or hosting Coffee Hour or reading the lessons: If you have any questions about “how it’s done” or what is involved in any of these positions, ask Lila Will (Worship Chair) or talk to any of the members you see doing these positions Sunday after Sunday. Kindly consider taking your turn!
Your Worship Committee invites you to cut some of your garden flowers and bring them in to grace our altar area. We have some vases in our kitchen that you can use if you don’t want to bring one. Ask Lila Will, she knows where they are! You are also welcome to donate $10 or $15 for a bouquet of flowers for any given Sunday and we will shop and bring them to church for you! You can give your donation to Lila Will. She will pass it on to the shopper! It is indeed, a nice way to recognize or honor a birthday or an anniversary.
