The Rev. Julie Schneider-Thomas will be installed as bishop of the North/West Lower Michigan Synod on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 4:00pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids (2700 Fulton Street E). Worship will include a volunteer choir and a reception will follow. Childcare will be available. All are welcome to attend and are invited to wear something red. Rostered ministers of all denominations are invited to vest. The color of the day is red. Please RSVP for childcare, if you plan to sing in the choir, or if you are staying for the reception. Prayer for and of the members of New Life: Loving God, be with us and guide us during this time of discernment. Fill our leaders, especially the Call Committee, with your wisdom. Lead us and guide us O Lord to be about the work of your kingdom even as the search for a new pastor continues. Bless all who have taken on extra responsibility and fill them with a sense of your love and presence. Guide those who are discerning their calls in ministry and put a “fire in their bellies” that one may be led to New Life. We pray in your Son’s name Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
