Prayer for and of the members of New Life: Loving God, be with us and guide us during this time of discernment. Fill our leaders, especially the Call Committee, with your wisdom. Lead us and guide us O Lord to be about the work of your kingdom even as the search for a new pastor continues. Bless all who have taken on extra responsibility and fill them with a sense of your love and presence. Guide those who are discerning their calls in ministry and put a “fire in their bellies” that one may be led to New Life. We pray in your Son’s name Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Easter Lilies: Thanks to each of you who purchased an Easter Lily or 2 to be placed around our cross this Beautiful Easter morning. Be sure to take your Lily home after service.
Spirituality of Fundraising – 4 sessions, Monday evenings at 6:30, April 8, 15, 22, and 29. Any member is invited to join the discussion group along with council members in discerning fundraising as a ministry for New Life. Contact June Scarborough if you plan to attend.
Purses with a Purpose: The Outreach Committee will begin collecting items for Purses with a Purpose. These items will be delivered to the Michigan State Police-Alpena post who will then deliver the filled “Purses” to Hope Shores Alliance. Donations will be collected the entire month of April which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Please look for the list of needed items on the “Giving Table” in the Narthex.
Synod Assembly 2024: We are still in need of 1 or 2 Congregation Members to attend this year’s Synod Assembly which will take place via Zoom on May 11, 2024. If you are interested please email the church office for additional information. Registration began Thursday Feb 15.
