All are welcome at the Lord’s Table for Holy Communion. We have both wine and grape juice. The wine is red in color and the juice is gold. Gluten-free wafers are available; just ask.

In the church the celebration continues for twelve days – so our joy and carols continue for two Sundays after the birthday!
Weather: Please keep in mind that if Alcona Schools are closed due to inclement weather, all meetings and or events will be canceled here at New Life. Keep in mind that in the event we need to cancel Sunday Service, you will be notified by phone, email and Facebook, please keep an eye out for notifications. Sewing Group: Resumes Tuesday January 6th at 12:00pm
Worship & Music Committee Meeting: Wednesday, January 7th at 3:00 p.m.
Outreach Committee Meeting: Thursday Jan 8th 12:00pm, and the Ausable Inclusion Center Hygiene Closet Friday Jan 9th 12:00pm-2:00pm, the Outreach Committee will be providing a Soup Lunch for Guests visiting the Hygiene Closet.
Choir Rehearsal: Choir Rehearsal Wednesday at 7:00pm
Cold and Flu Season: With Cold and Flu season quickly approaching, please feel free to participate in the Sharing of the Peace in any manner that you are comfortable with, such as waving, fist bumps, etc. There is hand sanitizer in the pew pockets for you to use.
Adult Christian Education: ACE meets each Thursday at 10 am. All are welcome! In January, we will read and discuss the book, “Why Fish Don’t Exist ” – by Lulu Miller, a story of Loss, Love, and the Hidden Order of Life.
Volunteers Needed: Your help is requested in Volunteering to providing Coffee Hour Goodies, Ushering, Reading, and Communion Helper. Please see the signup sheets located above the drinking fountain. If you would like information on any of the above activities, please see Lila Will. Thank You

Prayer for and of the members of New Life: Loving God, be with us and guide us during this time of discernment. Fill our leaders, especially the Call Committee, with your wisdom. Lead us and guide us O Lord to be about the work of your kingdom even as the search for a new pastor continues. Bless all who have taken on extra responsibility and fill them with a sense of your love and presence. Guide those who are discerning their calls in ministry and put a “fire in their bellies” that one may be led to New Life. We pray in your Son’s name Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
